School board announces April community meetings

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Each member of the Fulton County Board of Education sponsors a monthly meeting open to all members of the community.

The sessions provide an opportunity for direct contact with community members and give board members a chance to listen to local issues and concerns.

Board members have set the following meeting dates for April:

Lake Windward Elementary (11770 East Fox Court, Alpharetta)

Thursday, April 12 at 9:30 a.m.
Riverwood International Charter (5900 Raider Drive NW, Sandy Springs)

District 4 (Linda Bryant)
Monday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Stonewall Tell Elementary (3310 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park)

District 5 (Linda McCain)
Tuesday, April 17 at 9:30 a.m.
Shakerag Elementary (10885 Rogers Circle, Johns Creek)

District 6 (Catherine Maddox)
Monday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Gullatt Elementary (6110 Dodson Drive, Union City)

Fulton County Board of Education members have hosted these community meetings for a number of years and are believed to be one of the few school boards in the country to use such a process for gathering input.
